Find their fit

A good fit starts with a few simple measurements. Choose the style first, then check its product page for available sizes and fit notes. Sizes and cuts can vary between styles.

Before you start

Use a flexible measuring tape over light clothing. Ask your child to stand naturally. Keep the tape comfortably close without pulling it tight.

What to measure

  • Height: without shoes, measure from the top of the head to the floor.
  • Chest: measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping the tape level.
  • Waist: measure around the natural waist, usually the narrowest part of the torso.
  • Hips: measure around the fullest part of the seat.
  • Inside leg: for bottoms, measure from the top of the inner leg to the ankle.

Choosing a size

Age labels are a guide rather than a guarantee of fit. Compare measurements with the guide supplied for the specific item when one is available. Consider the fit described on the product page, what will be worn underneath and your child’s own preference.

If measurements fall between sizes, ask us for help with that style before ordering. We do not recommend applying one size chart across every garment.
